Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This is a detailed working draft, not a substitute for legal advice. It's built specifically around what Social Paychex's platform actually does — but it has not been reviewed by an attorney, and should be before you rely on it. Update the placeholder contact email and any jurisdiction-specific details (like state privacy law references) once that review happens.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to everyone who interacts with the Social Paychex website and platform: brands submitting campaign inquiries, creators applying to or working with our network, and anyone with a Social Paychex account.
2. Information we collect
From brands
- Company name, contact name, business email, industry
- Campaign details: product description, target audience, content goals, platforms, budget range, desired timeline
- Account login (email, and a password if you set one)
From creators
- Full name, email, phone number, city, state, age range
- Creator profile details: niches, content styles, creator type, social media URLs, portfolio links, starting rate, availability, languages
- If you connect a social account (Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok), authorized analytics data from that platform — such as follower counts, views, and engagement — imported directly through that platform's own login and permission system
- If you're matched to a campaign and accept, your shipping address (for product-seeding) and compensation/payment status for that campaign
- Account login (email, and a password if you set one)
Collected automatically
- Basic usage analytics via Microsoft Clarity (page interactions, session behavior) to help us understand how the site is used
- Anti-spam verification data via Cloudflare Turnstile when you submit a form
3. How we use your information
- To create and support your Creator profile, and to evaluate brand campaign inquiries
- To connect creators with relevant campaigns and coordinate that work
- To communicate with you about your application, campaign, or account
- To calculate and display aggregate, non-identifying network statistics (like total verified views across our creator network) — this never identifies individual creators publicly
- To prevent spam and fraudulent submissions
- To improve the site based on how it's actually used
4. Who can see what
Social Paychex is built so that different types of information are only visible to the people who need to see it:
| Information | Who can see it |
| A creator's contact info, rate, and private notes | Social Paychex staff only — never shown to brands |
| A brand's campaign budget and internal notes | Social Paychex staff only — never shown to creators |
| A creator's shipping address | Social Paychex staff only, for coordinating shipments |
| Campaign financials (contract value, payouts, margins) | Social Paychex staff only — never shown to brands or creators |
| A creator's own compensation for a campaign they've accepted | That creator, and Social Paychex staff |
| A creator's connected-platform analytics | The creator themselves, brands considering that creator for a campaign, and Social Paychex staff |
| Aggregate, verified network-wide view counts | Publicly visible on our homepage — never broken out by individual creator |
5. How we store and protect your information
Your information is stored in a secured database with access-control rules enforced at the database level — meaning even our own application code has to go through the same permission checks as everyone else. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access tokens for connected social accounts are encrypted and never exposed to your browser or visible in any interface.
6. What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information to third parties.
- We don't share creator contact information or rates with brands directly — all communication and matching goes through Social Paychex.
- We don't display fabricated statistics, testimonials, or performance numbers anywhere on the site.
7. Third-party services we use
- Supabase — our database and account login provider
- Resend — sends confirmation and notification emails
- Stripe — processes brand membership payments and creator payouts
- Meta, Google, and TikTok — provide authorized access to your connected social account analytics, if you choose to connect one
- Cloudflare Turnstile — spam and bot protection on our forms
- Microsoft Clarity — basic website usage analytics
Each of these providers processes data only as needed to provide their specific service to us, and is bound by their own privacy and security practices.
8. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You can request that we delete your data at any time by contacting us — see Section 11. Some information may be retained longer where required for legitimate business or legal purposes (for example, financial records related to completed campaigns).
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
10. Children's privacy
Social Paychex is not directed at children. Creators must confirm they are at least 18 years old as part of the application process. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
